Our colleague Harsha Mysore, PhD, recently had the pleasure of presenting key developments from the concluded InNoPlastic project at the Water in Industry 2026 conference, an International Water Association conference held at Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands.
The InNoPlastic project brought together technology developers, the power and chemical industries, NGOs, and policymakers to develop solutions aimed at reducing and removing plastic pollution from the marine environment.
During the conference, Harsha shared pilot testing results on the removal of nano- and microplastics from industrial cooling water systems, highlighting the potential of collaborative innovation in addressing complex water-related challenges.
Beyond the presentation, Harsha participated in co-creation workshops, courses, and a technical tour of Holland Hydrogen I, Shell’s 200 MW green hydrogen plant at the Tweede Maasvlakte. The visit showcased how water is a integral part of realizing a resilient and cost competitive green hydrogen system in line with EU ambitions.
Bringing together water professionals, industry representatives, policymakers, and other key stakeholders from around the world, the week-long conference created a valuable platform for collaboration and knowledge exchange around real-world water challenges.
