During the last quarter, the BlueXPRT team completed several European submissions targeting very diverse funding sources. The programs spanned the Clean Hydrogen Joint Undertaking, Horizon Europe Cluster 4 and Cluster 5, as well as the large-scale and medium-scale Innovation Fund. The team also evaluated whether the Heat Auction would be an option for a project and concluded that a medium-scale Innovation Fund proposal would be the best route.
Thanks to the help of our customers and partners, proposals ranging from 10-page summaries to multiple 45–48-pagers and even 2×180-pagers were prepared and submitted. Aside from the short time frames to submit the proposals, the team handled a diverse range of industrial topics. It included: online H2 inspection tools for hydrogen gas transport, scrap reuse for steelmaking, digitalisation of battery recycling, novel carbon capture solutions, integrated CCUS solutions in wastewater treatment, heat reuse in the food sector, and industrial heat reuse in a district heating grid.
