Our colleague Harsha Mysore, PhD had the pleasure of presenting the Hurricane Project at the Smart Energy hub conference organized by the University of Twente, Saxion University of Applied Sciences, and Smart Energy Hubs Oost-Nederland
Within the HURRICANE Project, a sector-coupling circular hub centred around the ArcelorMittal Belgium Ghent site will be created. We will target efficient resource management together with the recovery and utilization of squandered industrial waste heat and water. Together with ArcelorMittal Belgium’s ongoing initiatives, this will lead to a reduction of energy, water, and raw materials.
Please subscribe to the HURRICANE Project LinkedIn to learn more about the project and to follow the developments.
The highlight of the conference included the Keynote by Prof. Henrik Lund (Aalborg University), which provided insight into the need for integrated and flexible energy systems. This led to inspiring discussions with peers.
In parallel, our colleague Sergei Kabatskii took the opportunity to attend the conference to gather insights into sessions that presented the social sustainability assessments while also networking with peers.
BlueXPRT looks forward to the upcoming conferences and extends its gratitude to the organizers.
